CHEOY LEE SHIPYARDS held a grand opening party at its recently expanded head office in Lai Chi Kok. Over 200 guests came to celebrate the company’s new branding and newly renovated and expanded office.

The overhaul reflects the new vision of the historied yard, which fuses modern design with Cheoy Lee’s unique identity that is entrenched in an extensive history that began in Shanghai in 1870. An Italian design firm helped create a new logo to represent the yard’s evolution as a modern and professional shipbuilder that champions performance, innovation, reliability, quality,

and service.Earlier this year, Cheoy Lee also unveiled its newly established luxury-performance division, CL Yachts, at the Miami International Boat Show. The new brand will be officially debuted in Asia at the Hong Kong International Boat Show later this year.

Cheoy Lee moved to Hong Kong from Shanghai in 1936 and is currently still a family-run business, now managed by the fourth and fifth generations of the Lo family. The main production facility is located in Zhuhai, while the company remains headquartered in Hong Kong, serving clients all across the globe.

Cheoy Lee Shipyards has been awarded numerous accolades over the years, and strives to continually pursue technology at the forefront of its shipbuilding process. Its ISO and OHSAS safety-certified shipyard is capable of constructing ships in aluminium, steel, and composite materials, and all vessels are certified by numerous international classification and inspection societies.
