My Reading Room
When local designer Cammy Wong was looking for apparel to stock at her Far East Plaza store, she found it a challenge. “I couldn’t find clothes I would wear myself,” says Wong. “I wanted modern classics that flatter the Asian woman’s body with prices that the working woman could afford.” So the 30-year-old sold her store two years ago. In June 2017, she launched Knits online (www.knitscapsule.com), a brand that is an Asian version of Cos – including the everything-under-$100 prices.
