Pretty perfect

This too-sweet-to-resist holiday makeup collection is inspired by views of Paris. JACLYN GUNASILAN takes in the sights in Los Angeles.

Almost every Too Faced product has a pink or teal packaging, finished with golden borders or ribbon-shaped motifs.

So I’m not surprised when I visit the brand’s Orange County-based office in the US and come face to face with girlie decor: plush, Venetian-inspired sofas, mirrors with golden frames and baby-pink wallpaper that covers the office, floor to ceiling.

Keeping to its sugar, spice and everything nice DNA, Too Faced’s holiday collection is inspired by the views of Paris from a hotel-room window – think makeup sets (in pretty pink, of course) that open up to reveal illustrations of the Eiffel Tower. Very fancy. Here, my faves from the collection.

Too Faced Le Grand Palais, $80.
This multi-item set includes a deluxe-sized Better Than Sex Mascara, Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick and Anti-crease Eye Shadow Primer. The star here, though, is definitely the palette, comprising 18 eyeshadow hues, two blushers, a highlighter and a bronzer.

Too Faced Le Petit Tresor, $40.
In this glittery teal mini makeup bag, you’ll find three full-sized La Creme Color Drenched Lipsticks (in nude, pale pink and fuchsia) with moisture-infused formulas to keep your pout plump and flake-free.

Too Faced Melted French Kisses, $35.
These liquid lipsticks – Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Berry and Chihuahua, and Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipstick in Melted Metallic Peony and Melted Metallic Macaron – won me over when they lasted through dinner and a round of drinks without smudging or fading.
