1. The short sparkly dress

The most eye-catching pieces
from the collection? The little metallic or sequinned numbers – many of
them look day-friendly (yay!) when worn with oversized leather or
vintagestyle, menswear-inspired jackets.

2. The unexpected headpiece

The game-changing accessory of the collection: the “grunge tiara”, which Saint Laurent paired with everything from oversized vintagestyle jackets to denim to sexy slips. It also features heavily in the brand’s Spring/Summer 2016 campaign.

3. The evening slip

Creative director Hedi Slimane referenced Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic sheer and lace pieces for his long night dresses – in black silk, patchworked, or even teamed with a feathered jacket. And you know he takes them seriously when he closes the show with a finale of 13 black and ivory silk slip gowns.

4. The teeny tiny bags

Think micro mini vintage-inspired styles – perfect for party girls in shimmery minidresses. Choose from all sorts of shapes: the bucket-inspired Baby Chain Bucket Emmanuelle, the purse-like Small Bijoux Bag, and the modern Blogger Bag that’s tasselled and square-shaped.

5. The wellies (yes!)

We’ve never fancied wellington boots. But we definitely wouldn’t mind slipping into some of the brand’s styles come the rainy season. Yes, they’re made of rubber. But they’re also jazzed up with embroidery, sequins, leather patches or studs.
