While Angie is a regular fixture on the fashion circuit, she prefers to keep her date outfits simple. Her go-to style? Glamorous, with a hint of old Hollywood – think red lips, smoky eyes and radiant skin.
HAIR
“My hairstyle of choice? Big, voluminous curls, which I set with Schwarzkopf Osis+ Curl Me Soft Velvet Curl Cream ($22). It holds my curls really well, even in this humid weather.”
MAKEUP
“I like to emphasise my eyes and lips, and will usually wear a metallic brown eyeshadow on the outer corners of my eyes and a classic red lipstick. When I want to look more dolled up, I line my upper lash lines using an eyeshadow pencil, then blend out the colour to create a subtle smoky eye. And for glowing skin, I use a brightening mask and a scrub right before my date.”
FRAGRANCE
“I wear Annick Goutal Petite Cherie EDT ($290), a light scent that smells like roses and freshly-cut grass. For fancier dates, I switch to La Folie a Plusieurs The Virgin Suicides (not available here), a powdery-spicy scent that’s distinct and unforgettable.”
OUTFIT
“I experiment with a lot of different looks, but for dates, I try not to look too overdone. I stick with a sleek black or white dress with subtle details such as embroidery.”

“I’d prefer to avoid the V-Day crowd, so
this year, I’ll probably go somewhere I won’t normally go, like Coney
Island. If my date and I are going for a meal, my choice pick is Kuriya
Dining, one of my favourite Japanese restaurants.”
