Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere, $108.

A modern, softer take on the classic Chanel No 5 EDP, this mini version of the Eau Premiere looks oh-so-perfect and cute.

My Reading Room

Bourjois Java Rice Powder, $26.50.

This 150-year-old drugstore favourite rivals some of the pricier setting powders on the market. We love using a fan brush to sweep the pearly-pink powder, housed in a vintage-looking case, onto the high points of the face.

My Reading Room

Dior Diorific Mat in #540 Magique, $53.

Is this a bauble for your Christmas tree, or a glam lipstick? Turns out it’s the latter, and the vibrant vermillion is bang on trend this season.

My Reading Room

Shu Uemura Maison Kitsune Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil, $65.

The Japanese brand’s classic Ultime8 Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil now comes in a bottle adorned with cutesy icons from Eastern and Western culture, such as kimonos and croissants.

My Reading Room

Yves Saint Laurent Beaute Touche Eclat Kiss & Love Edition, $58.

The little pen-like product we all know and love (for its superb concealing and illuminating properties) now comes dressed in lip prints.

My Reading Room

Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina Eleganza Solid Perfume, $100.

This solid perfume – one of the brand’s most popular floral-oriental scents – doubles as a necklace. It is available exclusively at Tangs, Takashimaya D.S. and Metro.

My Reading Room

Urban Decay Vice4 Eyeshadow Palette, $88.

Housing 20 colours, from jewel tones to neutral hues, inspired by an oil slick (yes, why not?), this is one palette you won’t be able to stop using.

My Reading Room

Shiseido Maquillage Snow Beauty, $90.

If Frozen’s Queen Elsa and Shiseido ever collaborate, this would probably be the result: a shiny compact with gold- and silver-toned snowflakes on the lid, and two downy powder puffs. One is for day use (to set foundation) and its fluffier counterpart is for night use (the pressed powder has skincare benefits, and is said to seal in the ingredients of your skincare and reduce stickiness).

My Reading Room

Laneige BB Cushion [Whitening] SPF50+/PA+++, $59.

This much-loved BB cushion compact from Laneige gets decked out in celebratory red and golden clubs for Yuletide. Plus, the inside of the compact is rose goldt-oned – so fancy. In three hues: #13 True Beige, #21 Natural Beige and #23 Sand Beige.

My Reading Room

Innisfree Warm Wood Scented Candle, $29.

With just the right blend of sweet and woody notes, this is the perfect scent to wind down to after a busy day. We especially love the cutesy doodles of Christmas treats on the jar.

My Reading Room

Guerlain Meteorites Flocons Enchantes, $112.

Leave it to Guerlain to constantly reinvent the packaging of its most recognisable product. White star-shaped pigments, and gold and pink pearls sit in a frosted, snow globe-like jar. We’d buy this just for the packaging.

My Reading Room

Cle de Peau Beaute Collection Bal Masque Le Serum, $420.

Specially for this festive season, the luxury beauty brand has given its best-selling Le Serum a facelift. To make things merrier, the bottle is now a deep ruby red and the cap boasts an exclusive Collection Bal Masque mask motif, coined Rosalie – the result of a collaboration between Lucia Pieroni, the brand’s makeup creative director, and jewellery designer Joji Kojima.
