As far as we know, Japan is the only country that gives us weatherproof plastic covers for our bags and our shopping. This idea is now for sale: Balenciaga’s Cape bag is a calfskin top handle that has its own slip-on polyurethane cover with a magnetic top closure. Being one-size-fits-most, the outer coat can also be used over other bags. – RT
