Boyfriend-sized, with big shoulders, and either singleor double-breasted, it was the throw-on solution for almost every situation: “I need to look presentable.” Throw on a jacket.

“I look crap.” Throw on a jacket.

“The dress now looks wrong.” A jacket can help.

“I wanna look like a pop star.” Here you go, a jacket.

That jacket is back.

And it’s as useful and purposeful as it was 31 years ago.
