Legendary style arbiter and Harper’s BAZAAR fashion editor Diana Vreeland believed in the freedom of expression. Her “Why Don’t You…?” column made many suggestions that toed the line between eccentricity and whimsy. From “Why Don’t You... Tie black tulle bows on your wrists?” to “Why Don’t You... Go to the theatre in a black tweed evening suit with a jacket embroidered in brilliant paillettes?”, her unconventional style informs the pages of the magazine, right up till today.

Another iconic woman whose unconventional outlook continues to influence contemporary times, Coco Chanel questioned societal norms, too; and single-handedly revolutionised women’s wardrobes, while inspiring them with new ways to wear their jewellery. She famously mixed her finest with her faux (a big no-no at the time), reinstating the cool French attitude of irreverence and nonchalance.

Coco Crush, the fine jewellery line that the House released in 2015, allows you to continue dressing in the irresistibly chic attitudes of these two style icons. The collection’s clean shapes and matelassé grooves bear the signatures of Chanel’s contemporary design of timelessness and simplicity, making it perfect for everyday wear.

A Coco Crush pendant or earpiece pairs seamlessly with a leather jacket-and-jeans ensemble. If you’re looking to make a bolder statement, mix your metals (be it white, yellow or Chanel’s exclusive beige gold) and pile on multiple Coco Crush rings or bangles. Up the ante with a beret that’s totally on-trend, and très Parisienne.
