Jeremy Scott speaks the language of Moschino with a humorous dose of irony and generous servings of glamour

Jeremy Scott speaks the language of Moschino with a humorous dose of irony and generous servings of glamour. He’s no stranger to transplanting pop culture iconography into his works at the Italian brand, and in just three years, Scott’s bag of tricks is already well-stocked with collections that have referenced McDonald’s, Bugs Bunny and Barbie. For spring/summer 2017, Scott conceived the Moschino girl as paper dolls dressed to kill in 2D-looking bikinis and mini dresses, before dialling up the camp factor with a closing passage of colourful trompe l’oeil gowns. With paper tabs sticking out from the dramatic confections, one can almost picture Hollywood actresses playing mix-and-match to determine what they’ll be wearing next on the red carpet.
