Piaget’s Possession collection has just been refreshed with baubles that see coloured stones being introduced into the range for the first time. Spheres of lapis lazuli, onyx, turquoise, malachite and carnelian aerate the sautoirs, chain bracelets and open bangles, while a minimalist diamond-studded torque necklace crowns the new designs. Audemars Piguet returned to Art Basel Hong Kong and showed its commitment to the arts for the fifth consecutive year with a windblown tree sculpture by Chilean artist Sebastian Errazuriz. Entitled Second Nature, the sculpture stands as an emblem of the Swiss watchmaker. As Errazuriz says: “Second Nature should remind the viewer of the basic principles of Audemars Piguet’s watchmaking legacy… The strong base of the tree sculpture is grounded on core values and the deep roots are embedded in history, yet the tips of its branches reach out and are always growing, exploring and searching towards the future.”
