In-the-know art lovers have been making a beeline to Tokyo Gallery by Musée Collection at Capitol Piazza to check out its latest offering. Known for its showcases of contemporary pieces by Australian artist Shane Bowden and Japanese artist Miori Nagashima, the gallery recently celebrated the works of ArteChiara, which produces high quality reconstructions of famous artworks from around the world. These are done with the blessings of the museums and foundations, and a portion of the sales will be redistributed to museums to support the arts. Visit museecollection.com
INSTA-SUCCESS
For the “K+ Instgrm Exhibition,” 13 Instagram stars were invited by the gallery to challenge conventional perceptions of art by snapping strikingly beautiful images on their smartphones. The Instagrammers, from the fields of art, fashion and lifestyle, with a total combined following of over 500,000 followers, were selected by homegrown photographer Aik Beng Chia— the line-up included artist Jovian Lim, director Royston Tan and Bella Koh of @catslavery fame. Guests were invited to find out more about these innovative artists and even snap a few shots of their own as picture-perfect canapés and bubbly were served. Visit kplus.sg
