While the prairie fields of America’s Great Plains and New York might be geographically miles apart, Stuart Vevers brought them together seamlessly in another homage to the brand’s Big Apple roots. Models took to the catwalk sheathed in shearling coats, oversized parkas, biker vests and furry hats, their urban attitude a welcome contrast to a runway set that comprised a make-believe prairie meadow and the shell of an abandoned farm house. Vevers also applied liberal swathes of plaid on tea dresses—those came in floral renditions that bloomed like delicate bouquets for the spunky Coach girl.
