ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK

My Reading Room

Vibrant and unexpected, orange is the perfect way to wear colour and add warmth to your complexion. Sweep a tangerine blush onto the apples of your cheeks for a sunkissed effect, dab some bronze eyeshadow on your lids to subtly accentuate your eyes, slick on a metallic orange lipstick for a summery look, or do all three at once for some tone-on-tone action.

TICKLED PINK

My Reading Room

For a fresh, modern take on bubblegum pink, keep the rest of your makeup pared down and opt for highly- pigmented formulas. Line your lips with a lip liner before applying lipstick for an immaculate finish that lasts all day, or top it off with a pigment-packed lip gloss for a dramatic, vinyl-like effect.

BLUE CRUSH

My Reading Room

The shade made waves on the spring runways, with designers diving into pastel blues, rich sapphires and every shade in between. Try light hues if you have fair skin, or deep colours if your skin tone is darker. Start with an eyeliner before you commit to blue eyeshadows, and use a white eyeliner on your waterline to make your eyes appear brighter and bigger.

RAINBOW CONNECTION

My Reading Room

Colour correctors allow you to counter skin discolourations based on the idea of using the opposing hue on the colour wheel. Try blue to counter sallowness on fair skin, yellow to combat dullness on olive skin tones and red to counter dark spots on skin tones deeper than medium.
