In stores April 30, Givenchy’s Mystic is the independent working woman’s answer to a traditional framed top-handle bag. Fine calf leather lends lightness, suppleness and, in turn, practicality to its boxy structure, while its elegant V-shaped flap keeps contents hidden even when the bag’s carried unclasped. A removable strap means it can also be used cross-body style.

The soft sculpted lines of the Mystic – available in small or medium – draw from Givenchy creative director Clare Waight Keller’s modern haute couture silhouettes. The bag’s make is equally sophisticated: the topstitching is hand done, the handle is made of three layers of suede and calf leather (with the edges hand-painted), and the inside is fully lined in suede.
