The colours can range from soft orangey-brown to ochre, which were last hot two years ago, when they were used to rim the peepers for a pretty, editorial take on the gothic look. This season’s comeback lacks drama, but makes up for it with a modern cool.
The colours can range from soft orangey-brown to ochre, which were last hot two years ago, when they were used to rim the peepers for a pretty, editorial take on the gothic look. This season’s comeback lacks drama, but makes up for it with a modern cool. To be used on the lids as well as cheeks (though not necessarily at the same time), the earthy tones not only help enhance one’s features, but also work as a colour corrector. According to makeup artist Larry Yeo, a yellow-brown shade on the eyes helps reduce redness, while a peachy brown eliminates greyness. The result: a fresh face that looks made up, but never overdone. – SK
