How do I know which moisturiser is right for my skin?

As a general rule of thumb, choose a lightweight moisturiser for normal skin and a cream for dry skin. But if you have oily skin, a water-based moisturiser is more suitable. Lastly, for those with combination skin, use a cream on areas that are dry and gel for the rest of your face.
Can I remove waterproof makeup and cleanse in one step?
