When makeup becomes a tool to conceal rather than accentuate, it’s time for a detox. There’s no need to go completely barefaced – just “detox” by changing your attitude towards makeup.

For one, make well-informed decisions about what goes on your face. Choose makeup products that care for your skin like Palladio. This Hollywood brand is enriched with skin-loving botanical ingredients and antioxidants, such as ginseng and green tea to fight free radical damage, and hydrating ingredients such as castor oil, safflower seed oil and vitamins to nourish and condition your skin.

The other way to develop a healthy relationship with makeup is to reduce your reliance on it. For example, try using no more than three makeup products at any time, for a month.

Want a more dramatic look? Make your lips the focal point with Palladio Velvet Matte Cream Lip Color, a highly pigmented and smooth lip cream. Balance out strong lips with the nifty Palladio Clear Brow Gel for your brows and lashes, add a sweep of Baked Blush to the apples of your cheeks, and you’re done!

Prefer a natural look that’s office appropriate? Apply Wet and Dry Dual Foundation to your face with the antibacterial applicator. Used dry, this foundation creates a light, smooth and radiant finish but if you need more coverage, wet the applicator before applying the foundation. Add dimension to your face with the paraben-free Contour Duo Stick, and finish with an eyeliner like the Ultra Fine Eyeliner Pen, drawn close to your lash lines.

If it’s hard using less cosmetics, just remember: It’s not about hiding your face behind less makeup, but about showing more care and concern for your skin.

SNACK YOUR WAY TO BETTER SKIN

Palladio is packed with antioxidants to protect your skin but you can further nourish your skin with these.

1 Dark Chocolate

Here’s a great reason to indulge! The flavanols don’t just protect your skin from sun damage, studies have also suggested they help to lower your risk of suffering a stroke.

2 Walnuts

The only one in the nut world to contain heart-loving omega-3 fatty acids, just 28g of this superhero will give you more antioxidants than the average person gets from fruits and veggies in one day.

3 Raisins

Generally, when fruits are dried, their compounds are concentrated significantly. Raisins contain up to three times the amount of antioxidants compared to grapes. Plus, they make for easy snacks to keep at your desk!
