As we bid adieu to Frida’s reign as Creative Director at Gucci, it seems she wants to go out with a bang, and that she is with a collection of ’70s classics – A-line skirts, bandleader jackets, deluxe denim – made fresh for a new era, which was often how Giannini approached her collections.

And before you can say “far out man”, we are super glad she did. Like a love child between Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Nicks, the Spring / Summer ’15 collection was a sight to behold. Cue shaggy Mongolian lamb vests, poet shirts and more retro suede than you can shake a stick at. In a nutshell, it was the ’70s starlet at her finest and the perfect tribute to Gucci, all wrapped up in a super-glam show. Right on!
