THE SIXTH MACAO INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW Nov 4-6 at Fisherman’s Wharf was a success, with Keppel Cove announcing the official start of private cruising between Guangdong and Macau.

Many significant boat brands participated in the show, bringing their featured models, including Ferretti 87, Pershing 70, Princess 85, Sunseeker 86, Jeanneau SO419, 519, Catamaran 50, Cranchi series, Beneteau series, Absolute Nevatta 52, Bavaria 54, Glorious 38, Sessa 54, MCY 86, Nextwave 65, Angelone 49, Searay series etc., The made-in-China Maxi expedition 110 became the highlight of the showcased fleet. The small sailboats, powerboats, motorboats and other water sports equipment also attracted a list of attention.

The boat show organisers, with the support of the Macau Maritime and Water, strove to help protect marine ecosystems and brought attention to social welfare. It held a three-month selection of marine environmental ambassador, receiving more than 50 million people’s attention from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and the mainland China. The Marine Environmental Ambassador will continue to represent Macau in a series of social welfare activities, advocating shark conservation, elimination of coral bleaching, protection of marine ecology and reduction of marine litter etc.

The show also invited young sailors from the four regions to compete in a two-day regatta, cultivating passion for yachting and team spirits in the next generation. The event is sponsored by Macao Convention & Exhibition Association, Nam Kwong (Group) Company Limited, China National Machinery Industry Corporation, co-organised by Nam Kwong Group International Convention & Exhibition Co., Ltd, China National Automotive Industry International Corporation, China Ocean Aviation Group Limited, with great support from the Macau Special Administrative Region, the Central People’s Government’s Office in Macau Special Administrative Region, the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the Stateowned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council.
