In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the M3, BMW has announced the M4 GTS, the latest special edition version of its celebrated sports coupe.

Limited to just 700 units, the M4 GTS features new water injection technology, which boosts the output of the six-cylinder in-line turbo engine to a heady 500hp and 600nm of torque. That’s enough to launch the car from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 305km/h.

But what good is speed without control? Handling has also been improved thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber and a brand new titanium exhaust system that shaves weight; while a new rear wing reduces lift at the rear axle at high speeds, and keeps the car planted to the ground. BMW M4 GTS
