With that said, the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1060 OC is clearly ahead of the competition with both aggressive clock speeds and good thermal performance, making it the fastest, yet coolest card here. It is also the only one to offer nifty features like the two 4-pin FanConnect headers for hooking up your case fans to be triggered based on the graphics card’s temperature. Combined with a solid build quality, understated design and versatile lighting options, it is one of the most appealing custom GeForce GTX 1060s on the market today.
At $589 however, it’s difficult to believe that this card is designed for the masses; it costs nearly $100 more than the Gigabyte. But as it stands, premium features clearly call for a premium price, even if it pushes the limits of its intended audience.
