RETURN OF THE PLUSH 8

These are exciting times for BMW aficionados. The German automaker is bringing out the big guns to contest in an increasingly competitive luxury car arena, with the return of the 8 Series, the brand’s most luxurious line of coupes. 

The pictured prototype, the Concept 8, was recently revealed at the annual Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este at Lake Como, with the actual 8 Series slated for a 2018 launch. If one detail stands out, it’s the sharply tapered edges of the front grille, a marked departure from the typically rounded design. A sure sign that new, great things have been planned for the grand tourer.
