The new Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is proof that the Germans aren’t the only ones who know how to build fast 4-door sedans. Under that bulging orange bonnet is a 5-liter supercharged V8 tuned to produce 592hp. That’s enough to propel the XE SV Project 8 from a standstill to 100km/h in just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 321km/h. It makes the XE SV Project 8 the fastest car Jaguar has ever made.

To put all that power onto the tarmac, the XE SV Project 8 gets a four-wheel drive system and wider front and rear tracks. The headlights have ever been moved forward by 14mm so that it can accommodate large 20-inch alloys and rack-focused tires. To further aid the car’s traction, XE SV Project 8 also gets aerodynamic aids in the form of carbon fiber front and side splitters, and a large carbon fiber rear wing. Stopping force comes from carbon ceramic brakes with stupendously large 400mm front discs. It’s England 1 Germany 0, then.
