Plan Your Week

If you’re worried about the week ahead, write a plan in your diary, says psychologist Leanne Hall. Focus on what you need to get done, then schedule events you’ll look forward to, like a midweek movie date. Writing down your to-do list means mentally unburdening yourself so you can enjoy the last hours of the weekend.

Create a Sunday Night Ritual

Make Sunday evenings a special occasion by prioritising self-care instead of doing chores. Cook dinner with a loved one, head outdoors for a much-needed workout, or get a DIY manicure at home. Give yourself an opportunity to relax before the work week begins.

Accept the feeling of Sunday Blues
Fighting anxiety can make it worse, but accepting it allows the feeling to pass over you. “Instead of saying ‘I should be relaxing’ or ‘I shouldn’t worry about work’, try the phrase, ‘It’s okay to feel like this’”, says Leanne. Coming to terms with your feelings of worry will help you let them go.
