Whether it’s the rain or work that’s preventing you from heading out to lunch, these four companies will ensure you don’t get hungry.

FOODPANDA

Variety: It has over 70 restaurants on its list, from Chinese to Italian food, and even Greek and Bangladeshi food.

Opening hours: Around 10am to 10.30pm daily, but for restaurants with their own delivery services, 24-hour service may be available.

Delivers to: All areas, except Sentosa Island and certain parts of military camps. Delivery fees and durations vary.

How to order: Go to www.foodpanda.sg, set up an account, and start ordering.

Payment method: Cash on delivery; credit or debit card or online Paypal payments for selected restaurants.

My Reading Room

GOURMET TO GO

Variety: 50 menus, including Japanese food and even Burmese cuisine.

Opening hours: Mon to Fri, 11am-2.30pm, 6pm-9.30pm; Sat & Sun, 11am-9.30pm.

Delivers to: Islandwide. Delivery fee is $4-$14; minimum order of $25 per restaurant ($5 surcharge applies for orders below $40); plus a 10 per cent survival charge (which acts like a service charge) on the total order. Expect to wait 90 minutes to 2 hours for your order to arrive.

DELIVEROO

Variety: Over 750 outlets (including outlets from the same food chain).

Opening hours: Daily, noon to 11pm.

Delivers to: Mostly central and east Singapore, but expanding; enter your postal code on their website to check if they deliver to your area. Delivery fee is $3 ($5 surcharge for orders below $25). Expect to wait about 30min for your order to arrive.
