My Reading Room

If you are eco-conscious, you’re likely to be more careful about the products you buy. From where they are sourced to how they are packaged, it’s important that what you buy meets your “green” standards. Korean skincare company Innisfree brings you a collection of products that are not only good for your skin but kind to the planet, too.

The brand’s perennial bestsellers, The Green Tea Seed Serum ($48 for 160ml) and The Green Tea Seed Cream ($46 for 100ml), are both derived from 100 per cent green tea essence, extracted from chemical-free Jeju green tea leaves, which is rich in amino acids and minerals. Both products contain double green tea seed oil to help skin retain moisture for long periods. The serum keeps the skin clean and moisturised from deep within, while the light, gel-like cream is packed with antioxidants and does not leave skin feeling sticky.

For a fresh, matte look all day, try the Long Wear Cushion SPF50+/PA+++ ($34 for 15g). It keeps shine at bay and helps The Green your makeup stay on for up to 12 hours, all whi le smoothi ng out small imperfections. The product also protects against sun damage and contains Jeju volcanic powder to control sebum.

The Water Glow Cushion SPF50+/PA+++ ($34 for 15g) contains 100 per cent squeezed green tea essence to deliver an instant moisturising effect. With a cooling, soothing finish, it’s great for the summer. Plus, its high SPF protection also shields your skin from UV rays.
