ITALIAN YARD PERSHING has launched the new versions of its 82 Very High Performance (VHP) and 74, both with fresh interiors created by Fulvio De Simoni in partnership with the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and Engineering Department.

On the new 82 VHP – also boosted by new engines – the main lounge features dark and pale streaked oak embellished with dark-grey lacquered details, and features Poltrona Frau leather and furnishings including a sizeable Quadra sofa and Laurana wooden table with a glass top.

Poltrona Frau, one of Pershing’s long-time partners, has also upholstered the large helm station and the three seats for the Captain and the co-pilots.

Below deck, the corridor is decorated with alternating mirrored bulkheads and full-length panelling with metallic patterned Elitis wallpaper, while the floor features a strip of LED lighting. The same style appears in the master suite, on both the forward and stern bulkheads.

The master and VIP suites have en-suites, while two guest cabins have a shared bathroom. Bisazza mosaics, Pomd’or accessories and Antoniolupi basins are used in the bathrooms. On request, the starboard guest cabin can be replaced by a media room that opens out onto the lobby.

The newly powered 82-footer can now break the 50-knot barrier and reach a cruising speed of 45 with a combination of twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines that generate 2,638mhp at 2,450rpm, together with Top System 95S surface propellers.

The 74’s interior has also been reworked and features Poltrona Frau leather on ceilings, bulwarks, the helm station and seating, and in the three cabins.

Key new features include the décor’s updated shades and the Alpi wood and lacquer details, which are a common thread through the different rooms and appear in the curtain, mirror frames and bathroom cabinets.

The lounge is furnished with a large L-shaped corner sofa towards the stern, a central table with a smooth leather top and a structural unit with a retractable 40-inch flatscreen TV. The galley, mid-level between the main deck and below deck, is coated with white-gloss lacquer that offers a contrast to the dark Corian top.

In the full-beam master suite on the lower deck, the panelling covered with Vescom wallpaper is broken up by strips of LED lighting, while two burnished mirrors increase the feeling of space. The style of the master suite is reproduced in both the foredeck VIP cabin and the guest cabin, which comes with two parallel beds and can be fitted with a Pullman bed on request.
