Beauty and the Beast gets a live action update in its latest film remake, with a stellar cast that includes Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston and Emma Thompson as Mrs Potts. The film also features a remarkable soundtrack featuring the likes of Ariana Grande and John Legend. Combined with moving performances and stunning cinematography, the movie will have you rooting for true love to prevail. The Disney classic hits silver screens on 16 March, 2017.

Through “A World Full of Stories,” on from now till 30 April, 2017, at The Children’s Centre for Creativity at Gillman Barracks, Playeum wants children to experience play-time away from technology. ACT 3 International presents Crazy Classics with Sid Bowfin, a classical musical performance by UK musician Adrian Garratt, which bundles violin playing, standup comedy and clowning antics into a highly interactive package.

This sensory circus is bound to have the whole family in stitches, as Adrian performs familiar tunes by Mozart, Vivaldi, Rossini, Pachelbel, plus the occasional pop ditty. Coppélia is a classic ballet hit with kids, thanks to the lively choreography by renowned French choreographer, Arthur St. Léon. With added input by the Singapore Dance Theatre’s Artistic Director, Janek Schergen, this three-act ballet is a story about a village youth, Franz, and his infatuation with a life-sized mechanical doll, Coppélia. VILLAGE TALES OH!

Open House is an art walk that the whole family can enjoy. From 4 to 19 March, 2017 (weekend tours only), this guided walk heads to Holland Village where you will get to see specially created works by local artists within people’s homes.

The 45-minute tours will span Chip Bee Gardens, HDB flats at Holland Drive and the Hakka Cemetery, so be sure to put on comfy shoes, and pack drinks and snacks for the kids. Spanning three festival hubs at The Promontory @Marina Bay, The Float @Marina Bay and the Bayfront Event Space, i Light Marina Bay 2017 is a free light art festival that explores the relationships between light, nature and the city. Based on the Beatrix Potter classic, A Peter Rabbit Tale, on from now till 14 April, 2017, is an entertaining and educational musical by the Singapore Repertory Theatre.
