This month, we're loving...Paul Rudd

He might be Ant-Man on our screens, but this dashing star is anything but tiny in our eyes.

You may know Paul Rudd as just another one of Judd Apatow’s funny men, but this month, he properly graduates into leading man territory as he takes on the role of Ant-Man in the upcoming Marvel superhero film of the same name. Here, we give you three things you didn’t know about Paul Rudd.

1 He’s Oxford-trained

Paul spent three months honing his craft at the Oxford University British Drama Academy while he was an undergraduate at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles.

2 He helped rewrite the Ant-Man script

Paul teamed up with scriptwriter Adam McKay to rework some of Ant-Man’s dialogue and action. “I’ve always known Paul Rudd’s a really good writer from improvising with him on set, but I had no idea he was that good,” says McKay.

3 He’s tight with Jennifer Aniston

Before they shared the screen on Friends, Paul and Jen teamed up in the 1998 romcom The Object of My Affection. They didn’t end up together, but finally tied the on-screen knot 14 years later in 2012’s Wanderlust.

RUDD THE STUD

He may have played his fair share of laughable losers, but that doesn’t mean Paul Rudd can’t bring it when it comes to sex appeal. His top three heartthrob moments?

My Reading Room
Josh Lucas, Clueless

Josh didn’t have to do anything to win the girl except be his totally adorkable self.

My Reading Room
Dave Paris, Romeo + Juliet

He may have been overshadowed by a young Leo, but Dave Paris was the original parent-approved choice for Juliet.

My Reading Room
Lt. Wally Worthington, The Cider House Rules

If that chiseled chin isn’t superheroworthy, we don’t know what is!
