My Reading Room

“BULLETPROOF” IS… About love—an unconditional, all-forgiving type of love that’s going to fight through and survive the tough times, between two people who will always have each other’s back.

THE TRACK... Was recorded last year in Sweden, where I had the opportunity to work with some amazing producers.

We spent four to five days hard at work in the studio, making sure we got all the right sounds.

MY SOUND IS… Empowering, mysterious, sexy, and all about R&B.

THE FANS HAVE BEEN... So positive and amazing! I’ve had people message me from Thailand saying they love the track and can’t wait for more music, which is just crazy to me! I’ll be travelling quite a bit around the region for the next couple of months.

NEXT UP… Is an EP, which I’m very excited to share. We’re in the midst of putting it together with a bit of recording left to do, but there’ll definitely be new music this year.

MY EARLIEST MEMORY OF MUSIC… Was hearing a lot of classical music and The Beatles at home.

My dad meticulously collected CDs over the years, and I’d spend hours in his study going through them.

I bought my first CD with recess money I saved—it was Destiny’s Child’s Writings on the Wall.

THREE THINGS NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT ME ARE… I’m afraid of butterflies; I eat Oreos dipped in peanut butter; and I’ve memorised about every single word of Drake’s songs.

MY STAGE STYLE MUST-HAVES ARE… A dope jacket, kicks and sexy hair.
