INDIE DECADE

THIS MAY BE STRANGE, but the very first time I saw Legend of Dungeon’s screenshots, I thought of Prince of Persia – the original from 1989, not the modern console remakes. When I first played it, the sound effects invoked memories of Karateka. Legend of Dungeon (LoD) is a procedural roguelike dungeon crawler hack-and-slash, which by its very long description, indicative of its many different elements of gameplay. Depending on the generation of gamer you are, this can be anything from Diablo or Minecraft, and I think that’s what makes it shine. It’s a simple concept wrapped up in many hours of nostalgia.
