Calling all single ladies! If your New Year’s resolution is to start dating seriously, here’s what you need to know about Bite, the new dating app on the block. 

What is Bite?

As convenient as dating apps are, sometimes, it can take a little while for an online match to translate into an actual date.

With its unique date-and-dine concept, you get to set a date, time, and place for a date before you even start chatting on the app. After all, one of the best ways to make a genuine connection with someone is through real human interaction. With Bite, you can cut straight to the chase.

So you're signed up for Bite...now what?

Bite lets you secure dates via its Broadcast function. Users get to broadcast Bite invites that specify when and which restaurant they’d like to visit. There’s even an option for you to state how you’d like to settle the bill (you can go Dutch, or either party can pay). You’ll then get to pick your date from the list of people who’ve responded to your Broadcast. Once there’s a match, the chat feature will be enabled.

See someone you like who hasn’t posted a Broadcast? Just hit the follow button, so you’ll get a notification when they do! Or take matters into your own hands and propose a date using the Invite feature. 

Why Bite?

Bite takes the pressure off dating by helping users pre-arrange a meet up based on their preferences. And it’s not just a numbers game. Each user is given 10 Hearts – a currency for posting Broadcasts or responding to another user’s invitation.

Users get one Heart refill every 20 minutes, so your matches won’t be a case of “I just accepted everyone and hope I get lucky.”

Bite is free to use, but you can purchase in-app coins to refill your Hearts or unlock additional functions, like purchasing more Follow slots so you can follow more than 15 profiles. 

TIP! Use coins to Boost your Broadcast so it appears at the top of other user’s feeds, increasing the exposure and reach of your invite.
