FitnessFest by AIA 2017 is happening on May 20-21 for the first time, and Shape is proud to be one of the official partners. Get ready for two days of workout sessions, talks on healthy living, and more. With an exciting line-up of activities for all levels, from beginners to the pros, there is something for everyone. 

Here are some highlights you can look forward to. 

Work out with Cassey Ho

The Youtube star and fitness queen will be introducing her new exercise routine: Pilates Intense Interval Training. This unique workout combines the core strengthening benefits of pilates with the fat-burning power of high intensity interval training. Double win! She will also be leading her famous POP Pilates routine during the festival. 

Do yoga in the dark

Jasmine Chong of Yoga Lab puts a spin on the typical yoga class. Get painted in neon glow-in-the-dark body paint before joining this multi-level class. Dance music and glow sticks will be thrown into the mix too – you’ll feel like you’re doing yoga at a nightclub! 

Exercise to great music

Sweat it out while having tons of fun. Try out the PoundFit class, which transforms drumming into an exciting and effective way of working out. During the session, you’ll be using Ripstix, which are lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising. Get ready to burn some calories while grooving to your favourite songs. 

Bond with the family 

Head to FitnessFest by AIA 2017 with your children, as there are activities planned for young ones, such as Kids Yoga and Jazz Cardio. Plus, those under 12 get in free.

Gain knowledge 

There are talks galore. You can learn how to reach your peak performance with proper nutrition and lifestyle changes, how to work out the knots in your body, and even attend a meditation session.
