Did you know that the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) has been running its Healthy Breastfed Baby Contest for 22 years? Held at United Square on Aug 6, the long-standing annual event aims to raise awareness of nursing, and is held in conjunction with World Breastfeeding Week. About 70 mums came together for a mass latch-on, after which they learnt about a short and effective exercise regime from a senior KKH physiotherapist.

It was also a family affair as babies, kids and parents took part in the fun stage activities, which included a baby crawling race, a daddy diaper changing contest, as well as a ventriloquist show. Professor Kenneth Kwek, KKH’s chief executive (pictured above), and Cynthia Pang, assistant director of Nursing, Lactation Services, presented the top prizes for the KKH Healthy Breastfed Baby and Most Popular Baby contest.

Winners walked home with attractive prizes sponsored by Pigeon, Great Eastern, Mothercare, Young Parents, Cetaphil and Betime. Finalists received hampers from Lam Soon and Ergo. To find out more about the KK Juniors Club’s programmes, call 6394-1268 or visit www.kkh.com.sg.
