We find out from Paul about the evolving trends and tips on incorporating aromatherapy at home.

When Harnn started in 1999, aromatic candles and ceramic essential oil diffusers utilising heat from candles or light bulbs were ontrend. Over the years, and with advancement in technology, ultrasonic diffusers have made “heated” diffusers almost obsolete; they can diffuse scents by maximising both natural properties of essential oil and fragrance.

Stick diffusers have also gained popularity recently as they require almost no maintenance. However, many on the market come with synthetic fragrances and some are even dangerous for extended exposure.

Scents are a great way to create memories. Some of us are drawn to certain scents as they bring back memories of childhood, family and security. We can also use scents that help calm and soothe us, or improve our well-being. We recommend selecting scents based on your state of mind; your body is the best judge in selecting what it needs. Just be certain that you are using aromatic products made with natural essential oils for aromatherapy benefits.

Candles are good as mood scenting for smaller areas and if you like a warm ambience. However, never leave lit candles unattended or exceed the burning time recommended by manufacturers.

Stick diffusers require almost no maintenance but they work best in small, ventilated spaces to help disperse scents more easily. 

Ultrasonic diffusers can disperse scent across larger areas but require proper maintenance of the appliance. Harnn’s aromatic ingots can disperse scents in small areas, while serving as decoration. They can also be “freshened up” by simply spraying aromatic interior fragrances when needed. Alternatively, add scents quickly by spraying Harnn’s range of aromatic interior fragrances directly onto fabrics such as on pillows or curtains.
