One’s a tint-free moisturiser that magically bestows a rosy glow, the other is a cushion compact that’s more skincare than makeup.
1. GET A ROSY GLOW
The new Dior Diorsnow Bloom Perfect Brightening Perfect Skin Creator SPF35/ PA+++ promises to add lustre to your complexion. No, it’s not a traditional illuminating primer, nor does it off er coverage. Rather, it’s a brightening moisturiser with tiny star-shaped crystals that lend skin a rosy radiance by scattering red light across the skin's surface. Bonus: this also diffuses the appearance of minor imperfections. For targeted colour correction though, Herve Debacque, Asia-Pacific regional marketing director at Parfums Christian Dior, suggests topping up with a conventional primer. What's most impressive? It also helps enhance the eff ects of aesthetic treatments. “The mineral UV filters and brightening ingredients in it, [such as edelweiss extract], are excellent for enhancing the efficacy of facials and lasers,” notes Dr Tiff any Yang, director of Yang’s Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology Clinic Taiwan.
2. NAIL THAT NATURAL LOOK
The perfect complement to the moisturiser? The new Dior Diorsnow Bloom Perfect Brightening Perfect Moist Cushion SPF50/PA+++. The reason is simple: this cushion compact gives ultra-sheer coverage that allows the luminescence of your moisturised skin to shine through. As Herve puts it, it gives “the illusion of beautifully bare skin when applied after [the moisturiser]”, much like how silk stockings give the impression of flawless gams. There are other perks too. For one, it brightens skin thanks to edelweiss extract, the hero ingredient of the Diorsnow range. Herve explains: “Edelweiss from our Swiss gardens helps to diminish dark spots and [prevent the formation of new ones].” It is also formulated with a cooling agent said to lower skin temperature and prevent heat-induced inflammation. That is why you get a tingly sensation when you apply it – not that we’re complaining, since it feels especially refreshing in sunny Singapore, so much so that it’s almost addictive. Wear it on its own for a fresh and natural look, or layer it under and over fluid foundation for a polished finish. “Either way, you’re guaranteed instantly dewy skin,” enthuses Herve.
