What is your favourite holiday destination?

It’s probably the Napa Valley in California. It is a very special place for me and my husband to relax. I also love Mexico City and the Mexican Caribbean.

What are the beauty products you travel with?

I can’t leave without my La Mer face cream, my Shiseido concealer and my red Chanel lipstick. I recently discovered a brand called Hourglass in New York and I love their lipsticks.

Do you have a pre-flight or inflight beauty routine?

I travel a lot for work, so I usually will drink a lot of water before and during the flight and just wear my face cream to keep hydrated.

What are your other jet-setting essentials?

I never leave without my Gentle Monster sunglasses. And a good book is always a good companion. My sister-in-law gave me a book by Madeline Miller called Circe, which is based on the Greek classic The Odyssey. Circe is a sorceress who was in love with Ulysses and would turn men into pigs if they wanted to separate her from him. Miller’s story is a fictional story about the immortal Circe, her life and struggles as a woman. So, I am going through that one now.

What do you like to wear on the plane?

I have a uniform. I wear black tights and a Dries Van Noten sweatshirt that is beautiful and super comfortable. I pair this look with my Commes des Garçons trainers.

Let the place you are visiting surprise you. Take long walks as walking is the best way to see a new destination.

What are your insider recommendations when it comes to Mexico?

Mexico is a beautiful city with huge cultural offerings, great museums, great art galleries and restaurants. If you are in the city, don’t miss the Frida Kahlo Museum, of course; the Diego Rivera Murals at the National Palace and Casa Barragan. And if you want a fabulous culinary experience, go to Pujol. Outside the city, I would explore Oaxaca city and the Mexican Caribbean.

What is your favourite restaurant in the world?

The French Laundry in the Napa Valley and Pujol in Mexico City.

Where are you heading to for your next holiday?
Either France or California, I still don’t know.
