Human contact is minimal at this ultra-sleek Polish boutique hotel, allowing for deeper connections with art and technology. Upon entering the lobby, a giant digital art installation captures your arrival and projects those images back as a series of stylised surveillance-like shots. Reception desks are non-existent here; instead, iPhones using digital recognition navigate guests to their room, unlock the door and serve as a virtual concierge.

THE MOVIE… The Circle, a sci-fi, high-tech thriller that explores privacy, surveillance and freedom in a digitally connected world. Out 28 April.
