HELD AT THE VISUN Times Coast in Sanya, luxury lifestyle event China Rendezvous 7th edition Dec 8-11 clustered a wide range of yachts, cars and jewelleries, with over 30 boat models ordered reaching value of 2 billion yuan.

About 100 exhibitors brought their fleet to the show, including Italian shipyard Azimut Yachts, which displayed its 80, 70 and 43 models. French boat builder Beneteau presented its featured sailboats and motoryachts. Its line-up consisted of Lagoon 620, Lagoon 39, Lagoon 450, Lagoon 560, Barracuda 9, Oceanis 48, Oceanis 55, Beneteau MC6 and Beneteau MC4.

Visitors also appreciated the impressive showcase from Ferretti Group, including FY550, FY650, FY840 Tai He Ben version and custom FY112’. Another French shipyard Jeanneau shined with its eye-catching Prestige 550, Prestige 680, MF855, Jeanneau 54, Jeanneau 64 and Sun Fast race boat series.

China and Southeast Asia dealership JetSet Marine dazzled the event by showing models of Bavaria Yachts from Germany and Monterey from the US, including Bavaria Cruiser 41s, Bavaria Cruiser 34, Bavaria Sports 360HT, Bavaria 37, Monterey 328ss and Monterey 217BF. Asian dealership Simpson Marine displayed two exquisite yachts – MCY 70 and MCY 76.

Local yachting group Jetpon Yachts brought its fleet for the visitors – JP110, JP70, JP63, JP60, JP53, Dufour 560, Dufour 410, Drakkar 24, Monterey 224, Monterey 315 and high-performance sailboat Tiwal. XinHan Yacht displayed Nautitech 541fly, Open40, Fourwinns H350, V255, TS222, 210RS and Wellcraft 221. Galeon 500Fly from Omnia Marine caught much attention along with Keppel Cove Marina and Sunseeker Asia.

Plenty of orders were made during the course of four days. FY700 Tai He Ban version was sold on the first day, while Monterey sports yacht 258S from Jetpon Yachts was also sold, followed by another five models the next day. Transactions for Bavaria Cruiser, which participated at the China Cup Regatta this year, and Jeanneau’s Prestige 550 were made.

First time exhibitor Yuiying Yachts from China gained the sales of 20 55ft yachts, while Simpson Marine secured an order of MC4 for the Beneteau Group as well as one of Lagoon 620.

Luxury yachts aside, renowned car brands such as Bentley, Rolls- Royce, Ferrari, Maserati, Audi and othersalso participated. Their new models attracted attention, especially the Wraith series from Rolls Royce. Bentley was also one of visitors’ favourite, which received a few orders at the show.

The new feature for the edition was China Camping Culture Zone, which exhibited caravans, camping equipment and other relevant services. Another addition to the show is the Indoor Luxury Lifestyle Zone that promotes quality products from property, travel, art and fashion brands.

The multi-cultural environment combined golf, art and yachting for an entertaining feast. The Sanya shores hosted a gala dinner and reception on the first day of the show, followed by the artistic and charity-focused The King’s Feast presented by Alter City Group. The Exhibitors’ Night acted as a platform for networking, while Golf Tournament and Awards Dinner presented by Hublot, Ferretti Group and L’voyage add to visitors’ excitement. At the Entreprises’ Salon, Global Yachting Tourism Alliance press conference, announced the future development of the yachting industry.

The organisers cooperated with Sheen Hok Charitable Foundation, its Operation Smile project and China Charities Aid Foundation for Children (CCAFC) helping underprivileged teenagers and children. During the King’s Feast, there were three artworks auctioned. With the proceeds from the auction, the 300,000 yuan cash donation from China Rendezvous and those from other guests, a total of 900,000 yuan was raised for Sheen Hok and Operation Smile. www.china-rendezvous.com.
