GET THE MOST DETAIL OUT OF EACH MOMENT

Every crisp detail in your image matters, it could mean the difference between seeing dew on morning petals or just a blurry smudge of landscape. When it comes to digital photography you can apply a simple rule of thumb: More is better.

The larger the sensor, the better the image quality becomes. The more megapixels in the sensor, the more details you can capture in a single shot. The Canon EOS M3 is equipped with a high-resolution 24MP APS-C CMOS sensor. ‘APS-C’ means it’s the same sized sensor as those found in DSLR cameras, giving you the quality without the bulk.

GET THE SUBJECT IN FOCUS

There’s no worse feeling than getting a blurry image of a great moment. Subjects need to be in focus and tack sharp, which means that your camera’s autofocus capabilities have to be quick and intelligent.

The EOS M3 comes with the latest Hybrid CMOS AF III autofocus (AF) system, which combines the speed of phasedetection AF with the exactitude of contrast-detection AF. In tandem, phase-detection AF quickly measures the distance to the subject, and contrast-detection AF fine-tunes the focus with precise accuracy.

GET TO KNOW THE CAMERA

Perhaps the most essential key to getting a shot is a camera that you know and that knows you. One that’s crafted to disappear in your hands, leaving nothing between you and the composition. Where carefully considered controls fall easily to hand, and settings can be changed as soon as you think them.

The EOS M3 is designed with two control dials for quick camera settings, and a further third dial for adjusting exposure compensation. Several buttons can be customized, and you can create your own quick access menu for your most commonly used settings. The camera is compact for easy carry, and its refined design is a perfect fit in the hand.
