The latest additions to Mercedes-AMG’s GT family will be topless, and it will come in two flavors. The GT Roadster is the softer and tamer of the two. Based heavily on the coupe version of the AMG GT, the GT Roadster is powered by a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 that puts out 469hp and 630nm of torque. That’s enough for a century sprint time of 4 seconds and a top speed of 302km/h.

The GT C Roadster is considerably wackier. It has the same engine, but it’s been tweaked to produce 550hp and 680nm of torque. 0-100km/h happens in just 3.7 seconds and if you have a long enough stretch of road, you’ll see 315km/h appear on the speedometer.

To take advantage of all that power, the GT C Roadster is also equipped with more go-faster bits. Aside from a wider track and fatter rear tires, the GT C Roadster will also have rear-wheel steering to improve agility in sharp corners. An electronically controlled differential will come as standard, as well as the AMG performance exhaust system for a racier sound. The AMG performance exhaust system also has soft and loud modes, allowing owners to choose between shaking or breaking their neighbors’ windows on morning cold starts. Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster.
