Your little one is a precious bundle of joy, but he can be a messy one, too. All parents can attest to toilet accidents, food spit-ups and spilt milk, which needs to be dealt with promptly to prevent the growth of pesky germs and illnesses. Keeping your baby clean also means he will feel more comfortable, fresh and happy. The best way is to give him regular baths using a soothing and hydrating body wash and shampoo, as his delicate skin requires extra gentle care. The experts at Cetaphil have done just that, by creating Cetaphil Baby’s range of products that addresses your child’s skincare needs. Suitable for children under two years old with normal and healthy skin, the made-in-Europe products are recommended by paediatricians* and are free of parabens, mineral oil and colourants. They are scented with a light fragrance so your kids will smell good, too.

For a gentle and moisturising bath, use the Ultra Moisturising Bath & Wash ($12.90 for 230ml). It combines aloe vera, almond oil and baby lotion to form a rich, lathering wash to cleanse skin. Then, take care of your child’s hair and delicate scalp with the Baby Shampoo ($12.90 for 200ml) that contains soothing chamomile to cleanse and protect. Need a more effi cient solution? The Baby Gentle Wash & Shampoo ($12.90 for 230ml) cleanses both body and hair at a go without drying out his skin. After the bath, apply the Baby Daily Lotion ($24.90 for 400ml), which contains shea butter and sunfl ower seed oil to moisturise and protect your child’s skin.

Four tips for an enjoyable bath

• Ensure the bath water is at a comfortably warm temperature, ideally around 37 or 38 deg C.

• Take a few colourful toys into the bath to make the experience fun. Some toys even offer interactive bath games so that Junior can develop motor skills.

• Keep the room warm as your baby can lose heat quickly. Wrap him in a hooded towel and gently pat him dry before putting on his diaper and clothes.

• Don’t rush it. Make bath time an opportunity to relax and bond with your little one.
