Orange shades work really well on pale skin and if the eye shadow has gold shimmer mixed in, they can double up as a blush as well. Complement the look with a coral or peach shade.
The colour tends to settle into the crease, so it is a good idea to apply eye lid primer to help it stay put. Transform regular powder eye shadow into high-shine cream eye shadow by dabbing on a thin layer of Vaseline or non-scented lip gloss after applying colour on the lids.
If you’re unsure about putting on multiple colours on the lids, opt for a mascara in a contrasting bright hue to make those peepers pop. Even though you are only using one shade on the lids, apply eye shadow primer and blend the colour out evenly to avoid uneven patches and prolong its wear. Top off with your favourite pink gloss to complete the look.
Hot & Cold
Contrasting warm and cool shades can produce interesting effects. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes, or be too serious about the application – makeup shouldn’t be too serious and if you make a boo-boo, just clean it off and start again.
