● Moisturise and hydrate skin. Before bedtime, apply a retinol cream on your just-washed face. It will slough off dead skin and encourage collagen production while you sleep.
● In the morning, apply an SPF30 moisturiser that’s oil-free so it sinks in without clogging pores.
● Drink eight 240ml glasses of water throughout the day to keep skin cells – made up of 90 per cent water – plump.

ASK THE EXPERT

What’s the best way to redo makeup aft er a workout?

“Skin is usually moist after a session, so don’t use a brush as it tends to cause makeup to cake up when it comes into contact with water. Instead, use your fingers,” says Pat McGrath, a US-based makeup artist and creative director of Procter & Gamble Beauty. “Just blending blusher on the apples of your cheeks will enhance your natural workout afterglow.”

Royal Flush

Try wearing rose gold on your cheeks. It’s truly the freshest and most universally flattering shade that gives you an energised, lit-from-within look. “Rose adds colour to your skin while gold creates radiance,” says US-based makeup artist Jenna Menard. We adore cult classic Nars Blush in Orgasm ($50, Tangs at Tang Plaza).
