THE SLEEK SIDE PART
Equal parts chic and sexy, this might just replace blowouts as our go-to glam ’do.
1. Start with freshly washed hair and blow-dry it towards the back of the head until it is almost completely dry.
2. Create a deep side part.
3. Spread a root-lifting gel from the roots to the middle of your mane – use approximately three 50-cent-coin-sized blobs. Then, do like Danny Zuko does in Grease, and use a fine-tooth comb to comb hair backwards and smooth out uneven bits.
4. Use a strong-hold hairspray to keep the style in place.

THE FINGER WAVE
Pair this classic 1920s-inspired fringe with a low ponytail for a more modern take.
1. Apply volumising mousse on your damp fringe and blow-dry.
2. Create a deep side part.
3. Take the hair on the heavier side of the parting and curl part of it over a large-barrelled curling tong. Then, curl the remaining section under the barrel, creating a S-shaped wave; secure to the side of the head with a bobby pin.
4. Tie your hair in a low ponytail and spritz on some finishing spray to keep everything in place.

THE POMPADOUR
Add some height with a classic quiff, which will also lengthen the face.
1. Spritz on fixing spray at the roots, then use a round brush to blow-dry your fringe, pulling it upwards and backwards to achieve height and volume.
2. Separate your fringe from the rest of your hair, and work a 20-cent-coin-sized amount of root-lifting gel through it.
3. Backcomb your hair from front to back, then use a hairdryer to set the style.
4. Use a styling brush to smooth bumps.
