Sustainability is not well supported on a countrywide level, but it needs to be.

We create so much waste for a tiny country, yet there are more consequences for littering than for creating litter; the balance is off . Why can’t we bring back old incentives like bottle returns and door-to-door newspaper recycling? Why isn’t recycling encouraged nationally? Having said that, I’m thankful for companies like Nespresso which take [the recycling initiative] into their own hands – it’s a window to much more.

I am guilty of using plastic bags, of course.

But I now use them minimally. I prefer glass bottles and storage, and I’m fully committed to creating less waste to begin with. It’s about consciousness and feeling responsible for the planet.

We live on this planet...

… yet take no responsibility for its decline at the hands of humanity. How is that possible?

To me, sustainability is an opportunity.

It’s a chance for us to create a better place to live and work in, and for future generations to continue to be able to enjoy what we currently have. We have to recognise that every effort counts.

At first, I didn’t know Nespresso capsules could be recycled.

I probably trashed thousands! After being told about the recycling programme, I started to collect and recycle them. My colleagues and I also bring our own lunch containers to work. I sort my trash at home according to the recycling bins at work.

Fashion and sustainability have always been viewed as incompatible.

However, times are changing and the industry is starting to become more aware and socially responsible towards the human and environmental impact that it leaves.
