K-beauty brand Laneige has always managed to excite us by being trendy and relevant, and so it is with its new store at Ion Orchard. First off , customers can try on makeup virtually in the store, using the brand’s new 3-D makeup imaging app, Beauty Mirror. The results are surprisingly realistic and the app is perfect for those who don’t have time for a real makeup demo. Then there are the Laneige products retailing here that are not yet available worldwide – excited yet? Here, a rundown of these store-exclusive goodies:
Laneige Water Science Mist – Water Sleeping Pack (Mist Pack) and Clear C (Anti-oxidant), $28 each.
A must-have in cold office environments, a facial mist gives the skin an instant boost of hydration without mucking up makeup. Take your pick from the seven off ered here, each tackling diff erent concerns. Our picks: Water Sleeping Pack (Mist Pack), which locks in moisture (like the brand’s best-selling mask of the same name), and Clear C (Anti-oxidant), which is packed with brightening vitamin C.
Laneige Hand Sleeping Ball and Firming Sleeping Ball, $5 each.
Fans of the brand’s masks, rejoice! They now come in individually packed pods perfect for long-haul flights or when you want to try out a variety of masks without getting the fullsized products.
Laneige Lip Card, $10 for a pack of four.
No room for lipstick in your clutch? Here’s a lip stain that’ll fit into the slimmest wallet. To apply, fold this card in half, place it between your lips, then press them against it. My favourite colour, Luminous Red, instantly brightened my complexion and lasted all through dinner without fading. Available in 20 hues.
Laneige Two-tone Shadow Bar, $38.
Full disclosure: This dual-toned eyeshadow stick isn’t exclusive to the Laneige store at Ion, but it is the brand’s latest makeup launch, and is the perfect tool for getting a smoky eye, pronto. Swipe it directly onto your eyelids and you’re done.
