The New Paper New Face 2015 winner Selynna Norhisham helps us review four spring-fresh lippies.

Has life changed for Selynna after winning The New Paper’s New Face modelling competition last year? Well... yes and no. She now has to take time off from her job as an administrative manager for fancy photo shoots and media interviews, but the 23-year-old insists that she’s still a down-toearth homebody. Her idea of a perfect Sunday: watching Disney movies in her PJs and eating her favourite foods, or playing games on her Xbox. Like most girls, Selynna likes makeup, and since she loves trying new products, we ask her to review four super-bright lipsticks. You know, for when she wants to swop her PJs for a more polished look...

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in #116 Mighty, $49.

A hydrating complex in the formula plumps lips for a fuller appearance. We love how this shade of pink looks chic rather than overly sweet.

SELYNNA SAYS: ”This is a great daytime look, and since it’s an understated colour, you can play up your other features.”

Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in Foreplay, $42.

A long-wearing formula and a va-va-voom hue – fire-engine red – make this the perfect lippie for date night.

SELYNNA SAYS: “I love a red lip, and this lipstick is so pigmented and easy to apply.”

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Pure Reds Star Collection in Pure Amaranthe, $21.90.

This doesn’t dry out the lips even though it gives a matte finish, and the pinky-red hue brightens the complexion.

SELYNNA SAYS: “I’d wear this bold colour to a rock concert or a music festival to stand out from the crowd.”
