1.SCRUB UP

Gently exfoliate lips by rubbing them with a damp cloth to remove dry, flaky skin.

2.Know Your Formulas

Matte lipsticks are long-lasting but can also be drying and uncomfortable. Creamy textures are comfortable and hydrating but may not last as long. Luckily, longwearing formulas have become much more wearable.

3.Wear Lipliner

When you apply liner, it acts like a glue for your lipstick. It also helps to neutralise your own lip colour so the shade comes out truer to the colour in the tube.

4.Blot, Blot, Blot!

Do it the right way: between applications, gently press a tissue Don’t put the between lips push down on it as it will make the colour look uneven.

5.Enhance Your Cupid’s Bow

Adding just a touch of highlighter or concealer to the highest point of your pout will enhance and define them.

6.Use A Lip Brush

Application will take longer—but this means that your lipstick will also last longer.

7.CLEAN YOUR TEETH

Because lipstick on teeth is never cool, put your index finger in your mouth and close your lips around it. Now pull it out. The lipstick on the inside of your lips will transfer onto your finger. Psst... you can try this with a straw as well.

8.Finish With Gloss

It will instantly make your pout more, well, pouty. If all-over gloss is too much, apply just a drop to the middle of your bottom lip.

9.Don’t Underestimate A Good Nude

Choose one a shade darker than your natural lip colour —it will be the most flattering. If you’re fairer, try something with a hint of pink; if you have olive or tan skin, opt for a sandy beige.

10.DON’T BE SCARED TO WEAR RED!

There’s a red for everyone. Use this as a guide: fair skin works with blue-red, olive in an orange-red and tanned skin in a burgundy-red.
